ASSET InterTech's Boundary-Scan Test, Processor-Controlled Test and I/O Instrumentation for Intel® IBIST are unique tools for access, automation and analysis of embedded instrumentation.
Operator Mode (shown below) is a streamlined mode for use in board manufacturing or debug environments. It allows pre-written board test scripts to be loaded and run. Test results can be either a simple PASS/FAIL message, or a full failure diagnosis with guidance on how to fix the faults.
Operator Mode prevents the test script editing and configuration facilities, therefore preventing unauthorized changes.
Test results are displayed either as a block diagram as shown above or text. Results can be printed out or logged to a text file for subsequent analysis.
The first failing block (primary failure) is displayed in red. Secondary failures are shown in pink. Clicking a faulty block displays diagnostic information in the dark green results window at the top of the screen. This window also give guidance such as the names of associated components, a list of steps to take to fix the fault, and a link to the board's schematic file.
