Improved Productivity / Ease of Use

Improving an organization's productivity means saving time and money. Ease-of-use is a major contributor to productivity gains. Hewlett-Packard’s printer division found out just how easy ScanWorks' graphical interface made JTAG testing. That was important for a number of users who only needed boundary scan capabilities occasionally . Netrix took productivity one step further. In fact, the effect ScanWorks had on Netrix's productivity allowed the company to increase its production volume.

Qlogic was able to spend less time troubleshooting failures because of ScanWorks' precision diagnostics. And using ScanWorks for on-board programming proved much more efficient than other methods. Jabil increased its productivity by applying ScanWorks' JTAG tests on its Agilent 3070 ICT systems. MediaTek was concerned about the productivity of its customers. It used ScanWorks to verify the accuracy of the boundary scan description language (BSDL) files for its chipsets, ensuring a high level of productivity for its customers.

AETA.COM
French telecomm firm shares a ScanWorks license between two facilities 800 km apart. The French telecommunications equipment manufacturer AETA.COM was faced with a dilemma. First, the JTAG test system it was using could not find a problem the firm was having with one of its designs. And second, the two facilities that needed access to boundary scan test capabilities were 800 km apart. On both counts, ASSET's ScanWorks had an effective solution. Read more>

Hewlett Packard
Hewlett Packard impressed by ease-of-use of ScanWorks® JTAG system."I'm an engineer but I'm like everybody else: If you show me a text-based interface, you're going to lose me," said Mike D'Amico, Manufacturing Test Engineer for Hewlett Packard Corporation's LaserJet Printer Division. "The graphical user interface (GUI) for ASSET's ScanWorks JTAG system is great. It helps tremendously because I can more intuitively understand the system; it has to be straightforward to use since none of our people can be dedicated entirely to JTAG test development at this time. Since we just don't know a whole lot about boundary scan (IEEE 1149.1, 2001/JTAG), the simplicity of the interface is very important to us." Read more>

Jabil
Agilent ScanWorks® Completes Successful Assessment at Jabil Circuit. One of the first places electronics manufacturers look to reduce expenses is through the elimination of redundant effort. Jabil Circuit, Inc. one of the top Electronic Manufacturing Services providers was first to perform early assessment of Agilent Technologies’and ASSET InterTech’s joint effort to enable manufacturers to leverage boundary scan tests across the product life cycle. MediaTek
ScanWorks ensures quality of boundary scan implementation in chips of a leading provider of DVD chipsets. Interestingly enough, the board testing capabilities of ASSET's ScanWorks boundary-scan test environment has become a critical tool for a developer of integrated circuits (ICs) for the optical storage industry. Netrix
ASSET Helps Telecommunications Company Program Implement In-System Programming with the ScanWorks JTAG Environment. "Based on these results, we decided to require boundary scan on all new products." Read more>

Qlogic
Qlogic rates ScanWorks JTAG system "the best!" Miles Nelson, test engineer for Qlogic, Aliso Viejo, Calif., wanted to find the best JTAG test and in-system programming environment available. He methodically tried some of the boundary scan products he could find and came to an emphatic conclusion. Read more>
